The Brief

Okay our bands busy doing our recordings (slowly), but the first thing we need to get out is a two song demo track, so we’ve decided on the songs and are going to get them done with all due haste (still not that fast).
And I was thinking that is if any of you are up to it and can spare the time, if any of you fancy maybe doing a design for it.
Sure I could do it, and have a couple of Ideas but I sometimes get pretty tired of my own stuff, and you can go wild do what you want.
The two songs we’re putting on the demo are "Noel" and "Watching Satellite" (you can hear a rough cut of it on our myspace), as for a title (if any) I’ll leave that up to you.
So peeps what about it?

Van’s comment: "Okay wena, but all thats missing is the BRIEF…'85If the band was a person, how would you describe its personality? Tell us about the music, the message, the genre? What do you want to communicate?"
So here's more

You see that's always the hard part trying to describe yourself... were a pretty fun loving bunch of guys who enjoy playing to a similar crowd, as fun loving as we are we do take our music seriously.
There isn't always a message in our songs, though when they are we like tackling issues pertinent to us, we're anti war, anti hatred, anti discrimination, anti pollution and all those bad things.
It all sound hectic, but we try convey what we feel about the world. Then there's the deep emotional side, songs about love and friends and heartbreak and pain you know the soppy stuff that girls like.
We want to encourage people to think for themselves and stand up and be who they are and state it to the world.
All in all we talk about serious stuff, but also light hearted songs about life and good times (Watching Sattelite). We don’t want to come across as too serous but we want to be taken seriously.
So if the band was a person he’d be someone like me - always saying something but not always something serious.
I’ve Posted the words to "watching sattelite" & "noel" on the bands blog, so you can all have a read.

OKay Van, I've added a bit more, though reading through it's probably more confusing than anything

Why have you guys chosen the band name Zephyr? What is the meaning of the name, And How does it tie in with the music you are trying to communicate to the audience?

I looked up the word being curious and it dates back to the late 17th century, denoting a personification of the west wind.

Hope this helps dude.

Yup I know the meaning of the word, it was a wind favoured by the sailors as it was never to fierce either, more "gentle but strong"
Kind of like the band - Zephyr is a name a came up with a few years ago, myself and a friend would play outside on a Sunday afternoon at Hebron Haven Hotel. It could be the calmest day ever, and as we would start playing every Sunday, a warm breeze would waft in fluttering our papers and rustling the leaves.
I'd like to liken our music to it, it's sometimes very punchy and rocking, but never too noisy, and when it's slow, it's a soft caress.

Good question Paulo!
